TOP TEN PET WEB SITES ANNOUNCED AS PART OF "30 DAYS ON THE INTERNET"

Galaxy visitors can register today to win a $500 gift certificate to Allpets.com, Galaxy's exclusive vertical sponsor in the pet category, by visiting www.galaxy.com and voting on their favorite site. The number one site will be announced at the upcoming Internet World Fall 2000.

An executive summary containing financial profiles, relevant industry trends and the latest research about the career industry is posted on the Galaxy Web site. WebVision, a provider of full-scale Internet business solutions, has also aligned with Galaxy as the event sponsor.

"Consumer awareness of Internet pets stores grew from 55 percent to 75 percent of pet owners in 1999, according to a report by NPD Group and Media Metrix," said Galaxy's chief executive officer, J. Tod Fetherling. "By promoting these Web sites, we hope to point Web users to the most relevant and helpful pet information on the Internet."

This is the first winning category in Galaxy's "30 Days on the Internet" campaign, a program designed to recognize the best sites in 30 different categories throughout September. Galaxy is still accepting submissions for the remaining 29 categories.
